AgriPrep Clear Sealer
AgriPrep Clear is a leading-edge natural plant-based interior/exterior clear coat / sealer.
AgriPrep Clear is a specially manufactured green product which not only penetrates and seals the substrate but creates a very durable higher sheen - ideal for kitchens and bathrooms. Use it as a sealer BEFORE you paint or to add a high sheen clear coat AFTER you paint.
Food Grade
Made from plant based raw materials and a special plant-based water born recycled food grade acrylic. Instead of focusing on just being EPA compliant like most of the “zero or low VOC” commercial product brands who are still focused on using petrochemicals for and in their resins and performance additives. We focused on developing coatings that are based on plants and materials including the resins and the performance additives.
Tinted Sealer
The sealer can also be colored so to give you a semitransparent look, much like that of today’s water based “stains” which are actually just semitransparent paints and not stains.
Truly Green
The entire Agri lines are true zero VOC products using nothing but natural raw materials including the colorants which we make. The EPA compliance mandate defines “zero VOC” as 5 grams per liter or less of volatile organic compounds, and that only pertains to the base. Colorants are set at 120 g/l of VOCs to be called zero. Green Seal less sets their requirements at 50 g/l for paints and do not even address colorants.
The industry leaders say they are green, but the truth is they are just being compliant, NOT GREEN! Green is about reduction of petrochemical use, using sustainable and/or recycled components, improving air quality and using non carcinogen items for health. This is where we stand out in offering interior/exterior coatings that are at less than the EPA mandates for VOC’s including the colorants! Meaning that we exceed all standards for VOCs. We also use BIO materials, renewable and sustainable resources, and use recycled waste stream raw materials. This is what GREEN is all about, not just being VOC compliant like the others.

Easy to Apply
Our paint works like any other interior paint. You can spray it, use a roller or brush, and you can thin it and clean up with water.
- Coverage: Coverage is 350-400 sq ft per gallon for one coat. Two coats are recommended, so coverage is halved for two coats.
- Tool Selection: Use high-quality brushes and rollers (3/8” to 1” nap). Do not use foam rollers or brush pads as they will cause bubbling and void the warranty. Horsehair or varnish brushes are recommended over some synthetic brushes that may experience clay buildup. Cotton or wool rollers are also recommended.
- Surface Preparation: Properly fill holes, seams, and repairs. All surfaces (new, existing, patched, or textured) require priming.
- Priming Technique: Apply a very thin, translucent coat of the Green Planet Paint as a primer over repairs and/or walls. Allow it to dry for 48-72 hours minimum before applying a regular coat. This is also important when changing colors (especially dark to light) to prevent bleed-through. High gloss surfaces should be lightly scuffed sanded and then primed. New construction requires priming.
- Application: Two coats are recommended. The first coat can be applied in any direction. The final coat should be rolled in a "W" pattern or vertical motion or sprayed with a vertical and horizontal back roll. Back rolling, done while the paint is still wet, is highly recommended for sprayed applications.
- Cutting In: Cut in edges and corners before applying the first and second coats.
- Thinning: The paint can be thinned with water for spraying, but usually isn't necessary. Don't over-thin.
- Spraying: Strain the paint before spraying. Ensure spray equipment is clean. Keep the spray tip wet.
- Restriction: It was NOT designed for stain blocking.
- Drying Time: Drying times vary. Wait 24-48 hours between coats (48-72 hours for trim or satin finish). Do not recoat before the paint is dry. Full curing can take up to 15 days. Don't wash newly painted surfaces for 30-45 days.
- Cleanup: Clean brushes and rollers thoroughly after use. For short-term storage (overnight or up to two days), seal them in a plastic bag and refrigerate. If hardening occurs, mineral spirits can be used to rejuvenate them, but must be fully cleaned from the mineral spirits before using them in the paints.
